I had been dying my hair for years with regular hair dyes. Lately I have begun to clean up my act and replace a lot of toxic food and cosmetics with more natural items. I did not want to use toxic hair dyes anymore because I was afraid that after all the years of dying my hair it was just a matter of time before I began to have allergic reactions. The last few times I dyed my head itched a little and I felt like I had a hard time breathing from the fumes. Well I searched and searched for something with the least amount of toxic chemicals and found these temporary hair colors. I fell in love! The are super easy to apply, and the color came out great! It added such a depth of color to my drab hair that I get lots of compliments now. And it also made my hair feel thicker! It says on the box not for gray hair. Well I BOUGHT IT TO COVER MY GRAY. That is the whole reason I bought it in the first place because I did not want my gray hair to show but I did not want to use the toxic dyes anymore. It DOES COVER GRAY! At least the shades I used did... which were SO HOT and Spicy Shimmer. Actually SO HOT did a much better job of covering the gray. And it seems to last pretty well for a temporary color too... I did it 2 weeks ago and still no gray... and although the color has calmed just a tad, it is still a vibrant reddish brown. My biggest complaint is that they DISCONTINUED this product (WHY??????????) and now I have to hunt down the few last remaining boxes in the far corners of the earth.
