A few months ago I dyed my hair back to it's natural color, a level 8.5 blonde, it looked great, but I felt like I was lacking some sunshine in my life. I picked this one because using the cap takes for-ever, and I wanted to do something subtle and quick. The concept of the finger comb thing looked so cool to me. I wanted to try it out. It turned out being kind of a pain in the ass. It's not a rubbery fingertip like I'd imagined at all. It was kind of rigid plastic device that slipped off my finger constantly. I feel like I've done better with an old toothbrush like I usually do. I ended up having to repeatedly dig the unused formula out of the trash and redo sections of my hair over the course of an evening, since it's really really hard to get a nice, even coverage with this for some reason. I'd catch myself in the mirror and spot a massive chunk if hair that I really wanted to go back over.
The color does look really good, it lightened my hair maybe a half or three quarters of a shade, it's nice and natural. Maybe a little more golden than I like, but I might just do a toner on it in a few weeks. Except for a few telltale dark streaks that I had to redo, the highlighted areas blend well with the darker areas. I am not sure if I will use it again, my hair has a lot of layers in it, and I feel like I will get more consistent coverage on the first go with a cap kit, but who knows, if I am pressed for time and want to avoid the hassle, I might do it again if the price gets a lot lower.
