I have been using this product for more than 5 years. It is very easy to use. Just pour the colorant into the activator bottle and shake. The tip breaks off when you are ready to use. A pair of throw away plastic gloves are provided: USE THEM!Simply squeeze the bottle into your scalp and work it in. Try to be careful not to leave on exposed skin too long, or you will be rubbing for a few minutes to get it out. I suggest a very light coating of vaseline on your neck, between your ears and sideburns, and along the forehead next to the hairline. This will eliminate any worries that you will have regarding staining.
My method is to get it ready right before I hop into the shower. I have a mirror in the shower to help me apply. I rub it into my hair and work it around for a minute or two making sure to get it into the base of the hairs. The product is thick enough not to run if you are careful. I then take my regular shower and then wash it out thoroughly. Five minutes is typically plenty of time. Use an old washcloth that you don't mind getting stained to rub out the shampoo thoroughly. If you see any light staining on your skin, use the washcloth to rub it out. It will come out without a lot of effort.

A nice by-product of the Just For Men is that it noticeably thickens my hair and makes it look fuller, better than any product specifically designed to do this.
