I have naturally dark brown hair. I wanted to go light brown with some blonde highlights but unfortunately it didn't go as planned. I went back a few times to get the color corrected but it only made it worse. I read online that to get out brass/orange/yellow color I needed to use a blue or violet base. After some more research I found that an "Ash" color would do the trick so I went with this Medium ash blonde and to my relief it got rid of the brass/orange and refreshed my highlights, it left me with the color I orginally wanted. I decided to wait a month before attempting to correct the color since it had been thru so much with bleach and other color so I had about an inch or two of roots but this color blended the roots nicely with the rest of my hair. I have waist length thick wavy hair so I used two boxes for the whole head but 1 box will be enough for roots only. I used it with the comb a color and the process went quick with no drippings/mess. The conditioner it came with is nice too.
