I had red hair for a long time and stupidly decided to dye my hair black. After bleaching attempts, my hair was a dark brown. I desperately wanted my red back, so when I saw this product, I thought I'd be back to my red, or at least some shade of red. I left the dye on longer then the recommended time (maybe like 15 minutes more) and I was left with a little lighter shade of brown with red tints all over. My roots on the other hand, ended up turning out to be a brassy, almost orangish blonde, which did not match the rest of my hair. So over all, I was left with hair that was basically all sorts of brassy tones, mixed in with the brown I originally had.
On the box, they say that it isnt recommended for dyed hair, which it really isnt. Unless your original color is a shade of brown, don't bother buying this product. You'll end up with all sorts of colors and tones that just looks bad.
