Wella Hair Color: Fanci-Full Temporary Hair Color

I started going gray in my early 20's and started coloring my hair dark brown at age 40.At age 51 now, I recently decided it was time to stop pretending and let my natural silver gray hair grow out.After much research and many questions, I finally decided the healthiest way to do this is just to tough it out and let it grow out on its own.My hair has a natural part down the middle at the top, so of course, that is where the roots show the worst.Three weeks after my last permanent coloring, it was starting to look really bad, and I started scrambling for a way to make it less noticeable.I thought about a scarf, a hat, doing a kind of layover side part, anything imaginable.Then a lady at work, who also colored her hair the same dark brown color, told me about Roux Fanci-Full Rinse.She used the Chocolate Kiss in between colorings to extend the dye job.I had huge reservations, but at just over $4 a bottle, I didn't have that much to lose in trying it and gave it a whirl over a weekend, just in case it was bad, so no one would see.I was amazed.It totally covered the areas I put it on and looked exactly like I had just done an all over dye job.I was so happy, I went straight to her the next week to thank her.I use this every day now.There are three drawbacks, but only minor:it will come out with water, so don't get in the rain.It does add moisture back to your hair after towel-drying, so blow drying takes longer.And it does change the texture of your hair a little because it is a coating, so styling is different.For lack of a better explanation, it feels stiffer, but only until dry.You hair feels normal when dry. But all in all, this is a miracle and exactly what I needed to help me transition from dark brown to 70% gray, which is my natural color now. And I suggest you buy some rubber gloves to wear while using it and while drying your hair.Leave them on your hands and wash your hands with the gloves on so you can use them many times.It does stain the skin a little.
