After trying several different brands of hair color, as well as different lines within the L'Oreal brand, I have found the Natural Match line to be a superior overall product.Other non-ammonia products may still sting the scalp, however, I've found Natural Match to be very gentle with little to no stinging of the scalp, and it is safe to use after bleaching your hair (I use this product as a toner after bleaching brown hair.My naturally brown hair is exactly the same color as the bright ash blonde shown on the box). Pros:
- This permanent, ammonia-free product, is as gentle as they say it is.No stinging scalp, and even when used AFTER bleach, the damage to the hair is very minimal (hardly noticeable).
- The bottle and nozzle used in this package is really top-of-the-line.The nozzle is very long and allows for easy application.The quality of these bottles are so good that you won't want to throw them away (I keep all of them and use them for different purposes).The plastic used is of such high quality, that I've been able to use the bottles for over two years.
- The colors used in this line are extremely accurate.There is a very noticeable difference between 10C (Cooler) and 10N (Natural).
- There is no brassiness at all after use (other products may leave a slight "orange" or even glow-in-dark-green tone after use.
Cons:
- L'Oreal has discontinued the #10 color line (only #9 is available).While L'Oreal is a great company, they have a bad habit of arbitrarily discontinuing products, regardless of how well they sell.When choosing a L'Oreal product, you have to be careful not to get too attached, as the product may not be around for very long.
