Honestly, I've tried all kinds of hair products before but the stubborn grays are here to stay. So many hair products not only are ineffective, they often tangle the hair and I spend way too much time trying to even out the solution throughout my shoulder length hair (I imagine those with longer hair will find it a living hell). The end result is not only unsatisfactory (gray hairs still there) but I ended up with damaged hair from the chemicals and the split ends from the tangled mess.But I had no such problems with Clairol's Gray Solution Nice n Easy. It actually smells nice (not that awful strong ammonia scent that could raise the dead). The solution applies smoothly to the hair and does not tangle the hair. I could gently apply the solution evenly and create less messy splatters in the bathroom. Best thing is, the Gray Retexturizing Pre-Treatment REALLY makes a difference! It makes the color penetrate better and the stubborn grays are are now barely discernible (not gone, but they do blend better with the rest of the hair). Freakin' awesome! This is definitely the solution for me from now on.
I also like the inclusion of a big tube of ColorSeal Conditioning Gloss that you should use over 6 weeks to seal in the color. Now that's a bonus.
